Mi Casa Es Tu Casa
FOOD is a symbol of home: TO TASTE IS LOVE.
Mi Casa Es Tu Casa is welcoming refugees, immigrants, other newcomers and locals alike to new tastes.
A Human Metropolis Food is a storyteller. Food connects us. Food gives us a sense of community, and over time these communities shape our cities. Everyone becomes the very essence of the fabric of the city.
With the arrivals of newcomers any local cuisine is injected with a healthy dose of new flavours, curiosity and cultural understandings, and by sweetening this meeting with food and love is what makes us human and keeps us all alive.
How we perceive food is also how we perceive culture. By introducing ‘the exotic’ to each other, the flavours and traditions that we attach to home, newcomers and locals alike, get to taste and smell the respective local cuisine and community of one and other.

DOCTORS OF THE WORLD is an independent humanitarian movement working at home and abroad to empower excluded people to access healthcare. Through 400 programmes in 80 countries run by more than 3,000 volunteers we provide medical care, strengthen health systems and address underlying barriers to healthcare.
We also strive to give a voice to the most marginalised, reporting on violence, injustice and unmet health needs wherever we find them. Our vision is a world without barriers to health, where healthcare is recognised as a fundamental right. www.doctorsoftheworld.org.uk
